The Company
Architect Costa Rica is an architectural consultancy company located in Costa Rica´s south pacific region providing services on architectural design, architectural plans and building supervision services that meets all legal requirements and environmental criteria, incorporating elements of the country’s vernacular architecture and translating them into contemporary solutions to tackle a weather that sometimes can be harsh to buildings and houses.
These elements can be among other materials that require minimum maintenance, high extended roofs for interior comfort and protection against both the sun and the rain, ventilations in strategic locations to increase the users comfort and the use of environmentally friendly solutions for all technical aspects of the construction.
The Architect
Carlos Lizano Rojas was born in Heredia, Costa Rica, obtained a high school degree from A.L. Brown High School, Kannapolis, North Carolina, USA, studied architecture at San Jose and obtained an Urban Management Specialization at the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies, Rotterdam, The Netherlands and an Environmental Management Specialization at the Center for International Postgraduate Studies on Environmental Management, Dresden, Germany.
From 2000 to 2006 he worked at the National Institute for Social Security designing Offices, Clinics and Hospitals and since 2007, he has been working as a private independent architectural consultant mostly at the South Pacific region of the country, designing houses, hotels and commercial and offices buildings.
